Health insurance plans or medical insurance will cover for a visit to see an optometrist for an eye exam when necessary. At our office, you will receive a complete and thorough medical examination of the health of your eyes. The examination will also include a measurement and prescription for eyeglasses. Some plans, especially HMO’s, require a referral from your primary care doctor in order to see an optometrist. Please do so prior to your appointment.
Vision plans are mainly intended to provide coverage for eyeglasses and/or contact lenses.
Carrollton Vision will bill your insurance for the examination of the your eyes as a courtesy. You will be given a prescription for glasses and/or contact lenses that can be taken to an optical store of your choosing.
